Client Names: Mr. and Mrs. Sun
Client Ages: Female over 40, Male 48
Reason for Assisted Reproduction: The couple had good financial conditions, but despite being married, they had not been successful in having a child. As they grew older, they were concerned about the wife’s health, as she had an old injury from her time studying abroad, suffering from a herniated disc. They decided to seek professional help. After reaching out to us, they chose to go with assisted reproduction in the U.S.
Current Status: Successfully pregnant
Mr. Sun shared with our consultant, “We’re not getting any younger. We just want a child, either a boy or a girl, as long as they are healthy.”
The couple had also explored other assisted reproduction agencies but felt that our consultant’s initial approach was thorough, with clear explanations of the process, making it easy for them to understand the entire procedure. During their meetings with the consultant, they also saw profiles of real surrogates, which gave them peace of mind.
We were honored that Mr. and Mrs. Sun chose us, and we have been with them throughout this joyful year.
After a period of health preparation, Mrs. Sun traveled to the U.S. for ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval. As a full-time housewife, she had plenty of time, and after two cycles of stimulation, they retrieved 12 eggs, which were cultured into 7 embryos, with 4 developing into blastocysts. At 40 years old, this was an excellent result. Even better, 2 boy embryos and 1 girl embryo successfully passed the PGS screening!
The selection of a surrogate also went smoothly. During her stay in the U.S., Mrs. Sun had the opportunity to meet with the surrogate and chat. The couple chose a very experienced surrogate, who had already helped three families and was a mother of two herself. This would be her first time carrying for Mrs. Sun. Although both parties were nervous, they quickly became friends after some communication. Mrs. Sun even gave the surrogate some Chinese knots, a traditional Chinese gift.
The two women seemed to be long-lost friends, possibly because they had very similar personalities. After Mrs. Sun’s embryo results came through, they quickly signed a legal agreement with the surrogate, with the help of a lawyer. The surrogate also took time to prepare her body before undergoing embryo implantation. Following the couple’s preferences, the doctor selected the healthiest boy embryo for implantation.
Back in Suzhou, Mr. and Mrs. Sun anxiously awaited the news. They counted the days, eagerly awaiting the healthy birth of their child.
We are thrilled to see another family’s dream come true. We hope to continue providing high-quality services and help more families achieve their family goals.
